Some people say they believe it,
They say they really do.
They say they have seen heaven,
And insist this really is true.
I remember, once I too found such a place,
It had a door and windows were two.
One day I looked out from a window,
And saw a fortunate few.
It made me feel my heaven was lesser,
And I stormed through the door out of the blue.
Before long I felt myself lost outside,
Peeped inside from the window number two.
It dawned on me what I had given up,
Till now I hadn’t had a clue.
At last I found my way inside,
Closed the door behind as I was supposed to.
I now knew this really was my heaven,
I should have known all through.
I went to close the windows,
And saw them looking at me too.
They had questions in their eyes,
For them now I was fortunate few.
